I love to take my iBook when I travel but I hate paying the exhorbitant hotel internet access rates.
It makes me very happy to capture a free wifi signal from my hotel window (from nearby coffee shops, MacDs, etc) and check my emails in my jammies.
Is there anyway to improve the antenna reception of my iBookG4?
Perhaps taking a USB plug into the computer and wiring it to a spiral antenna? Or am I limited to the antenna that's built into the computer?
Thanks for your thoughts
😀

What kind of wireless do you have? You can find out under network utility: Mine is : Wireless Network Adapter (802.11 a/b/g/n)

If it isn't g or n it might be good to get a new wireless card and that would increase your range most likely.
