iPod touch IM's only going to ipod touch

I recently got the AIM free app for ipod touch.When my ipod is on, and so is my laptop, and i have ichat open on the computer and AIM open on the touch, the im's that i recieve (even if i start a conversation on ichat) only go to my ipod touch. Help please! does anyone know whats wrong?

I have no definite answers, but a possibility could be, that it depends on which platform you signed onto first. I use AIM on my laptop and on 2 iTouches, and most times I only get IM's on one of the three. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for it, but I don't know THAT much about it to figure it out. 😉
