in-call mute not working!

This is very bizarre. Ever since updating to 7.0.6, when I tap "mute" while in a call, it doesn't seem to mute the call! I've tried with a headset, bluetooth headset, and using the iPhone directly. I've tried rebooting to no avail. any ideas?

No, I am jb and don't want to lose it by being forced to go to 7.1.
