I picked one up myself yesterday. Couldn't be happier coming from a Dell XPS 2015 13 that I tried out for a week. The trackpad was horrendous...paid another 400 for this rmbp couldn't be happier. I was justifying getting a 15' at one point...was going back and forth..but for this price for the base model and over 310 dollars in savings...it sealed the deal for me.

I assume you mean $989 with the 10% movers coupon?

for the base model its a nice deal. I just find it too small as a main system. I should have picked up the 15" model personally, but I was trying to save money. I got the 256GB version, 128GB won't cut it for me...lol

Ditto. $989 plus Samsung 250GB 850 Evo SSD and enclosure. $1,099 plus tax.

Just got back from BB, they don't even show them marked on sale in store. But they honor their online price, even the guy was shocked it lowered again. They also except the 10% off movers coupon. $1044 out the door WITH TAX

I managed to stack the 10% off coupon and the $50 student coupon to get to $944 pretax. Hard to pass that up and was a good excuse to upgrade from an Air.

wow you got lucky...a lot of the BB don't let you stack..also on the USPS 10% it states unstackable. LUCKY!!

Just picked one up a few hours ago for $1050 out the door. Tried to stack $50 EDU coupon upon store pickup, but it would have to have been "returned" and redone which would have negated the Mover's coupon. Still a great deal regardless for a computer that has only been out for a month!

Picked one up yesterday at this sale price. Use the mover's coupon. Don't know how to price match Apple's education discount as I'm a teacher and don't have an .edu email acct.

Does Best Buy match Apple's $100 education discount? If so, how would I get them to price match since the $1199 price listed on the Apple website is more than the Best Buy base sale price.

It's actually funny. I ordered with the $50 off coupon because I didn't want to hassle with getting a mover's coupon (feels a bit shady to me anyway). After I ordered for store pickup, I realized I had received a 10% off email from BB last week that I had kept without any real thought I would use it. I printed out both coupons just in case, but I figure I'd go in and swap coupons. I explained to the pickup desk clerk that I realized I had used the wrong coupon and she told me that by far the easiest thing to do was pickup, return, then re-ring. She processed the pickup, slid me down to another terminal, then returned it. I slid her my printed coupons and she scanned them both. The 10% didn't come off at first (and I showed her the price was the exact same as we had just returned) so she scanned it again and it went though. It was actually fairly painless (about 10 minutes) and she apologized at the end for it taking so long. This is two great BB experiences in a row with coupons at that store where the employees have said they were trying to get me the lowest price ... too bad more BB stores aren't like that.

Best Buy stores nationwide have change their tune. They seem to have shrugged off their arrogance in favor of a friendlier more tolerant chain.
I guess being on the brink of collapse forces you to make some changes.

I agree. They used to be a pain in the ass just to return something. Now its a more relaxed policy..hopefully people don't abuse this...but at times they are more decently priced now...they also price match amazon now.
