I wish I could buy from Apple themselves as it's just a better experience buying from an actual Apple Store IMO... but Best Buy had the 512GB 15" rMBP for 2,249.99. And after some discounts and BB rewards points I spent just slightly over 2,100 bucks. I was amazed it went that low.
I'm still in some credit card debt but that deal was too good to pass up, (well in my mind it was, lol.)

Will Apple price match the Best Buy sale and mover's coupon? Any advantage to buying at the Apple Store vs. Best Buy other than price?

I couldn't resist - I ordered to replace my mid-2009 MBP, so my 12- year old daughter will happily have a MBP on her desk now.

Bought my base model Wednesday, unfortunately before I saw this thread and the ability to use the mover's coupon. Sold my 2013 11" Air to a coworker and am really happy with the upgrade. Have an iMac that I use to store my photo's and music on, so the 128 GB HD isn't a big issue for me. The 8 gb of RAM is a nice bump from the 4 GB on my Air. Had no intention of buying but saw one of Frakes PSA tweets and decided the BB sale was too good to pass up.

For anyone curious about Apple Price Matching; here is how it went for me. I told store manager what Best Buy had along with coupon. I showed said manager a screenshot of the model and price on bb.com. Manager offered to match the price of $1099, however, cannot match the 10% discount on top.

I purchased it there.

I then went to best buy in person and they only had the 256gb model and the price online, even for the $1099 went back up to $1200~. However, the 256gb model with price matching online $1425 + 10% off, was a pretty good deal. Basically $100~ extra for double storage.

Now i have both and must decide!

That's the first I ever heard for Apple matching prices. Cool that they did, I wonder if it is a manager/store to store decision.

The Anker USB enclosure that I linked doesn't support UASP for SSD's so it's bottlenecked at around 200MB/s. I've since returned it and purchased an Inatech FE2005 which does and now my speeds are around 415MB/s read and write.

It is. The supervisor told me that generally they match UP TO 10% of the competitor price, but they decided to do the full match. Still debating if I want to keep the 256gb for $100 more or just the 128gb from Apple.

I say keep the 256GB, 128 isn't terrible, but 256 is a bit better for future proofing IMO (plus better re-sale value in case you ever upgrade to a future machine.)
