hi,

I ordered a SBSS Series 4, but now I’m in doubt whether it’ll look good with the majority of leather bands (and others).

I ordered it because I normally wear a pretty urban/hip style, but also need a watch that can be used for dressing up.

Anyone here with the new space black SS that can enlighten me about this? :)

Also, when it’s all black, will it then just look like a big black nerdy blob on your arm? :p

As early as last year the space black was my ‘perfect’ Apple Watch (having envy owning the space gray) but my tastes must have changed because now they do look like a blob. I know am liking the transition to a stainless or gold case and band. More classy look I think. I hemmed and hawed about it long enough and ordered gold but now I have a long wait.

This is my first AW and I ordered the Space Black SS 44. My thoughts was that I wanted the watch to blend in more. I didn’t want a big flashy hey everyone look at me I’m wearing a. Apple Watch!!!!

Everyone is going to have a different opinion so you have to go with what suits you best. IMO, the SBSS is clearly the best looking AW4, but I know there will be some that disagree.

i had the gold SS, but was eyeing the SBSS i saw in the apple store. the gold SS is stunning, and looks good in almost any situation - even in the swimming pool. it's harder to pair with the fluorescent sport loops like green or pink, whereas the SBSS does not have this problem. now that I have the SBSS, i miss the gold's extra shininess and bling factor. it felt more premium on the wrist due to it's gold mirror like finish. that being said, the SBSS's coating is more durable, and everything looks good in black and against black. i can appreciate the extra work making the diamond like coating.

options are good but they're also a pain. choosing has never been more difficult.

:p

I received my SBSS 44mm almost a week ago. So far, I've had the SB aluminum (1st model), SS Silver series 2, and now this.

IMO the leather bands look best with SBSS. The leather really stands out, and tan & black is the one of the best looks out there and very neutral where it comes to matching whatever style I wear. I love the look. I also love other bands that "pop" with the black watch, such as blue, red, white, etc. I think the right bands look really good with this watch.

I do think the SS (silver) does look and feel more like I'm wearing jewelry, if that makes sense, and I kinda miss that feeling. So if that's a feeling you like then you may enjoy the SS gold or silver models. But the SSBB looks great, and some bands really shine with it.

Your going to fall in love with the display on this thing though. What an improvement!
