Well, given Apple is going to imminently start moving back to a more conventional scissor based KB, it'll certainly only last as long as your computer ;)

Is anyone sure the scissor based keyboard is the same feel as the scirror based keyboards of old? Kou mention them using glass fibers in the mechanism, so who knows what it will feel like, and if the travel will be longer than the 2019 keyboard.

It's been over 3 and a half months and i've had no duplicate keypress issues with my 2019 MBP's keyboard. It's a blessing compared to 7 keyboard fails that I had across 4x 2018s. Some keyboards were failing after 3 days. I've pushed this 2019 MBP's keyboard pretty hard and it's been solid. Though the I keycap did have some paint chip off, i'll take that over duplicate keypresses after 3 days.

I have had the same positive experience with my 2019 MBA. No problems. Also, I like the feel of the 2019 keyboard, which I understand is not everyone's cup of tea.

There's bit of a clue in the leaked Touch ID set up image - see the GIF in this article, it shows the Keyboard depression is larger around the KB, which suggests deeper and longer key travel :) Perhaps not as much as the 2015 era MacBooks, but if it's similar to the magic KB I'm happy.
