Hey guys I am looking for some new apps for my ipod and have $10 to spend. I was wondering what some of your guys favorite "hidden gems" were!

    Let me know!

I don't see how I can recommend you something without recomending my app first iDough also check the video with some fan art.
I'll also recommend the game I'm currently playing Monkey Island 2 Special Edition

For news / casual reading, I love Reeder and Instapaper. Pandora's great, of course, but you probably already use that. I use iTap sometimes to control my computer from across the room (as well as Apple's remote app). If you have an iPod touch 4G, check out RedLaser (free) and Pro HDR.

Epicurious is really nice (and free) if you ever like to cook, and PlainText (free), Dropbox (free), and Air Sharing all come in handy. I recently downloaded Calvetica (I have the free "narrow" version) and Simplenote (free), both of which look great.

As for games, I like FlightControl, NinJump, DoodleJump, Real Racing, and Sol Free a lot.

For typing emoticons in text messages and emails, I use Emoji Enabler (which I wrote - it's free).

Last but not least, I recommend Nightstand Central, which I also wrote :) It lets you wake up and fall asleep to your iPod music (or even Pandora in the next update), displays your favorite photos, and even comes with a flashlight that you can toggle by shaking your iPod. I use it every night. There are two versions: the $1 full version and a Free lite version.

These are apps I don't regret ever having bought.

Pulse- I love the interface. And the latest update is slick with individual reloading or a group reload.

Skyfire- Despite all the bad reviews, the stuff lets me watch some of the shows (Modern Family), and other flash video clips.

Reckless Racing- I love this game, its' short and the courses are small, but it's really fun and addicting.

    Bejeweled 2 - addicting

HDR Pro- let's me take cool hdr pics

Air Share- I've always had this since the beginning, (actually got it for free when they did a promotion early on), love being able to save email attachments onto my phone.

Orb Live- I can stream movies off my computer. I tried Air Video but something with my router settings didn't allow it to work, but orb works fine, so for me Orb definitely was definitely a good purchase.

Angry Bird- It definitely worth the price. I dont' play it anymore but I used to play it all the time.

Fruit ninja- Quick fun game. Even my nephew who is 2 plays this and enjoys it.
