This is a feature I just saw. At the end of lines, if the word is longer, it will spilt it like in books.
    e.g.:
    The dog is hun-
    gry

    vs.

    The dog is
    hungry

I am used to it doing the bottom way, and would like to change it back. Any suggestions, and is this new?

Which version of iWork are you using? I'm using iWork 2009, and it doesn't split the words like in a novel for me.

Bring up the inspector (alt CMD I), go to the first tab and uncheck "Hyphenate" at the bottom.
