Does anyone know if the physical stores have any appointments/plans for any in store stock on Friday? I already tried to purchase and book a timeslot but the whole day is greyed out so far.
 
I was able to secure an in store reservation for launch day by ordering at 8:05am last Friday. My friend tried at 8:30 and there were no more reservations for launch day. Probably COVID related who knows. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a walk-in this year due to the virus and capacity limits.

Ahh, yeah, I figured, thanks :) I actually have to go to the store to pick up my case and charger today, so maybe I'll ask while I'm there and cross my fingers.
 
Let me know, I have a preorder date in November. I am tempted to try and go into the store on release day and try for it, but dont want to deal with lines, and poor customers not wearing masks and standing too close.
 
Doesn't hurt to ask but I think they only book 3 days out. If it's grayed out, that means it is full. I know they do walk ins but you do have to wait in line still, but they will most like help those who have appointment first. Otherwise you can check Saturday after 6 am to see if they still have in stock.
 
Let me know if anyone hears anything on if everything is to be ordered online for pickup or if they have walk ups available.
 
My local Apple store surprisingly still has 12 pro's in stock for pick up this Friday (pacific Blue color to boot). I am sure they will help set it up for costumers as well too. But they do have Covid safety measures in place.
 
Might be work checking John Lewis Site in the morning. They might have next day delivery, not sure if they offer click and collect on stock in stores. S

Stay home, Ive got stuff to do on Friday, last thing I need is to show up at my appt and have a bunch of folks crashing it in hopes to get one.
 
I talked to my local store yesterday, it sounds like they aren't going to have time for walk-ins. They have Friday and Saturday booked out with appointments.
 
Looks like Apple released dates through Monday for “shop with a specialist”. All weekend long they are greyed out or booked up. I’m assuming it’s the same situation with Apple intentionally not allowing it.

I just am shocked they haven’t released a statement about tomorrow. Wether it’s a new system for walk ups or if they told us “just don’t”. I’d like some insight please Apple
 
Just spoke with 2 separate Apple stores. Both said that they will have availability but limited. There will be 2 lines. 1 for preorders and 1 for people hoping to get one.

anyone hoping to get one around Seattle, you should try the University Village store. Not the Bellevue Square store.
 
What a pisser!
I find out that the phone I pre-ordered on 10/16, card charged - is backordered till November.

But then today ( week later ) I place an in-store pickup order at my local Apple store and they have them in stock - same model, color, carrier, and capacity.

WTH ?? :mad:
