I was able to get a 12 pro blue for pick up tomorrow, hoping I could swing by today and pick it up though, but there were no timeslots.

Apple store at the Domain Austin had like 5 people in line at 8:15 when I went this morning. My pickup time was actually for tomorrow afternoon and they wouldnt let me pick up unless I was within 10 minutes of the pickup window. Thankfully I live 5 minutes from the store!

Generally with iPhones they make you stick to your appointment time.
I just paid and made an appointment for pickup at the Apple store on Sunday.

I'll be cancelling the Apple.com order.

My local apple stores still have in store pick up for 12 pro models in the new pacific blue color (128 GB and 256 GB). It's 10:40 AM here in Virginia. That is surprising considering every other iPhone launch I seen or been too, stock is usually gone on launch days.

What I am not getting is that customers who paid for theirs a week before (Oct 16), are not getting theirs, but their local Apple store has lots.

SO PISSED!

I logged on to my Verizon account this morning and was able to order a 12 Pro for pickup in store today.

Cancel your order and re-order for store collection if that option is available?
That's what I did.

Can't believe Apple would jerk me for a week after pre-ordering when it opened 5am last Friday!

Come to find out that the Apple stores (6 near me) have the same exact phone in stock!

Never again will I stress myself out by pre-ordering!

It makes sense. They allocated a certain amount per-store and for customer orders on launch day. After those are ordered they then ship them to everyone.

But as things go... a person may have pre-ordered for in store then find out they want a different color or size or whatnot so a previously earmarked phone to the store is now available again. For shipped orders they can just pick the next back ordered delivery and move it up. But they don’t allow back ordering for in store pickup.

If the color and size you want is available in store and it is close. Just order it again there and then once confirmed cancel the delivery order. No big deal.
