Hi

Verizon can get poor comments here, but they can also be really good at problem resolution at times.

We purchase two 12 Pro models through Apple. Apple’s data base had multiple errors related to our mobile numbers. This prevented VZ from activating. We returned the phones to Apple for a refund. We repurchased through VZ, thinking that would bypass the Apple data. If did not. Our VZ tech, in conjunction with the order activation unit, were FINALLY able to work around this and activate our phones. They worked quite a long while on this. They were great.

Before getting a resolution from VZ, I had written to Tim Cook’s office, to see if they could assign someone in engineering to address the database issue. Apple’s dropped the ball. Never received a response. If Apple’s order database, continues to have issues regarding our mobile numbers. then in the future, we may not be able to purchase from Apple directly.

We all have different experiences. Unfortunately, mine aren't even in the same realm as yours. Activating an esim for moto razr was comparable to launching a mars mission and colonizing as well.

Verizon apparently hates esim. Every problem I’ve ever had activating has been due to esim.

I had this same experience with new iPhone 12 Pros. Apple’s system prevented activation and Apple employees at the store made it as though it were my problem to solve.

Verizon support did everything they could to clear the activations that Apple’s system put into limbo and issued me new SIM cards. This took multiple tech support calls and 2 trips to a local Verizon store since Oct. 23rd.

Apple’s response to this fiasco was to block my Verizon account so that I cannot order an activated Verizon iPhone any longer from apple.com. My only choice is to buy a phone from Verizon or buy a SIM-free version to be activated on my own time.

I really despise Apple lately. Their policies and actions are universally customer aggressive and counterproductive.

Screw you, Apple!

Our phones had physical Sims. The problem was there were glitches during pre-approval / pre- order which attached multiple pending records to our mobile numbers, which rendered VZ unable to activate the new phones. I wrote to Apple who never responded.

After what happened to me, I may purchase from VZ. I could never figure out how to order a Sim Free phone.

I bought my iPhone 12 from Apple, but I bought the sim free version. The salesperson put my old 4G SIM card in it. Phone worked fine, but he also gave me a new Verizon 5G sim and told me to take it to
Verizon to activate the 5G, which I did. Verizon had no problems activating it, in and out 15 minutes.

Apple contacted me a short time ago and will be looking into how our database issues I mentioned can be resolved. I appreciate that.
