I am set to pickup my 8+ from an Apple Store from 3:30-4:00. That is the window I selected. If I am late will that delay anything? Like if I don't arrive till 4:30.

Also I am with ATT and the website says my mother (the account holder) has to pickup the phone. But I am listed as an Authorized User on the account and it is for me. Will I have any trouble picking up the phone?

Thanks in advance

1. You may or may not have your pickup cancelled. Half hour is probably pushing it.

2. As long as you're an Authorized User on the account, you can pick up no problem (provided you have ID, obviously)

Nah.

Look at the context of things. It's easier to tell a walk-in customer there is no stock, rather than deal with a late and angry customer who made a reservation.

iPhone 8 has also been launched without much fanfare. There will be stock.

They gave you a time to pick up? I ordered using in store pick up a few times and usually you just come in anytime after it's ready.

Cool, I'm planning on order the X & having it shipped to the store. I haven't done a pre order in a while, so I don't remember if there's a time or not.

I'm hoping they hold it for at least a a day. There are plenty of reasons why someone wouldn't be able to make a short time window.

Pretty sure they hold onto your phone for at least a day before selling it to someone else. There are a lot of lazy people out there, if they lose pre-order customers by not catering to them, that would not be good for Apple.

If you ordered it and paid in full for pick up, it's actually yours and they will hold it for 14 days and if you don't pick it up within 14 days, they will send that phone back to the warehouse and refund you the money. So on pick up day, you can actually go at any time to pick it up regardless of the pick up window. That's just there to help keep the traffic flow smoothly. I talked to couple of Apple employees and all said the same thing, you do not necessarily have to come right on your pick up window. Heck you can even go pick it up the next day and they will still hold it for you since it was already paid.

Unlike last year, when it was just reservation and then pay at store for pick up, those they hold till end of business day then gets put back in the inventory.

As long as you are listed as an authorized user, you are fine pick it up without your account holder being present.

As soon as your card has been charged that phone is yours. You've got 20 days to go pick it up.
I confirmed this at my Apple Store just last night. I have a reservation for an in-store pickup this Friday on the IUP but will be out of town and won't be in to get it until Monday. The Apple rep said exactly what ashleyman said. Once the card is charged, they hold the phone for you.

Perfect thank you. I ordered through IUP too.

I read 14 days and 20 days pickup window in this thread. Does anyone actually know what is the official Apple Store pickup window?

It depends what you are trying to pick-up. Items paid in full have longer pick-up window compared to reservation(not paid) and IUP.

I think they hold 1 day
if you not show up they will sent you alert and final time is due then your iphone will be cancelling

Incorrect. If you already paid for the item they hold it for at least 2 weeks. They do send you reminders to pick it up and if you don't pick it up in 14 days or so, the order cancels and you get your money back.
