In-store-pickup reservations, how will they work on Friday?

I have a reservation on Apple.com for a October 4th expected ship date. However I am curious how the In-store-pickup reservations will work this year? Will I have to cancel my Apple.com order before I can check stock in my local Apple Store Friday morning?

The hault is for people trying to make reservations now. If your reservation is already in your are fine.
