Do you think apple will provide those of us who have pre ordered and have been waiting the opportunity to switch to in store pickup?

If not will you promptly cancel your order and go the pickup route?

I would think this is just a "ship to store" option. Saves the hassle of waiting on delivery. I don't think we will see in store stock for a while.

from what my order page says its specifically states in-store "pickup" it lets me select the option and store but lists product unavailable.

Wouldnt it be funny if apple was behind the scenes producing watches for the stores while we wait for ship date ranges LOL

This is probably based on the recent rumours about in-store pickup coming sooner than initially expected. If stores start doing it I imagine they'll do it like they've done in the past with new iPhones; the option will appear at midnight and there'll be a small window where a few will be available for collection the following day. If this is the case, there's no harm reserving one (if you're lucky) as you can then just cancel your online pre-order when you have it. I've done this in the past with an iPhone.

IF they start becoming available in store I'd keep your order you have for shipment and try to get one for pickup. Cancel the one you don't get first.

I haven't seen any speculation about the in-store pickup option for online :apple:watch orders, since it recently appeared as a greyed-out option for about half a day. Does anyone else believe (or hope) it will be an option for new online orders in June?
