I have an iPhone 3G and have the problem where my vibrate switch has broken off. Everyone seems to be saying that if I bring it to the story they will replace it under warranty. The only issue that I particularly have is that my iPhone is jailbroken. Is this going to be an issue? Should I restore it to my regular firmware before I bring it to the store?

Also, is this something that I could bring my iPhone to an ATT store for or do I have to go to an Apple Store?

    Thanks!

Apple does all the service on iPhones, not AT&T. If you go to AT&T, they will just send you to Aplle.

I would restore my phone before asking for a replacement. Jailbreaking voids your warranty.

I broke my switch off, it was jailbroken. I restored it, and went to the AT&T store where I bought it, they told me I had to go to an Apple store. I did, and they gave me a new phone - no questions asked.

Got the new one home and promptly Jailbroke it - lol
