Also - whats the sales tax difference between NYC and Danbury CT? I believe its 8.75% in the city and like 6% in CT. So you could save an additional 20 bucks or so by purchasing it in CT :D.

One can go to NH and save more than $200! I think it costs more than 20 bucks to get to CT from NYC.

I most definitely recommend to visit the West 14th Street store over the chaotic Fifth Avenue "zoo" if you want a relaxed atmosphere.
All along I thought it would be ridiculous to go all the way down to the Meatpacking District when the closest store is literally 10 minutes walk away from home. Well, was I wrong on that thinking!

I would not buy anything from the 5th Ave store, as another poster said the place is a zoo and the lines are always long (unless you go at 3am). If I were you I would go to the Apple store with the least amount of crowds (i.e. the mall), that way you'll get better service and less aggravation.

I've been to the flagship store many times and it is indeed a "zoo". Lots of tourists from around the world but most are just browsing and there are lots of blue and orange shirts around.

I went in twice and Stacey was very helpful (once for the 3G launch and another time just to buy some stuff). Really, everyone is nice and I've never had any issues there.

Umm, one tip though is to not wear a loose skirt or if you do, take the elevator down and not the clear stairs! ;)
