In the future, will MacBook (Unibody) also have FireWire? :)

Uh. Nope. Highly unlikely given that Apple decided to remove it from the current version (firewire was available on the older versions).

The consensus is that Apple is moving away from Firewire to only use USB on the consumer MacBook. There are agruments that firewire is becoming an obsolete technology. Some say they don't need it others say they can't live wthout it. Most newer consumer electronic devices such as camcorders and portable hard drives are using USB these days.

Why did you make this thread if you already asked this in your other FireWire thread?

Edit: This is like your, 6th thread in a 24 hours period or so about the MB, did you take to read around www.apple.com/macbook?

An attempt to ensure complete coverage?

An attempt to ensure excessive annoyance and uprising of the townsfolk?

    Need for attention?

I'm guessing one (or more) of these.
