I've been having this problem like 50% of the time I try to drag and drop folders or files to another folder.

When I clicked and hold on the item and proceed to move the mouse cursor away, the item doesn't follow the cursor. Meaning, I can't drag and drop the file.

There's an youtube video showing the same problem as I have.
YouTube - 2 MAJOR Flaws in Mac OS 10.5 Leopard. Is it Stable?

Strangely, the problem goes away when I'm not in list view. But it's troublesome to switch to column or icon view just to drag and drop.

I've tried fixing disk permissions with Disk Utility. Currently, the system is running OS 10.5.2

sorry if you already know this, but I just want to make sure. You know you have to point right at the file name or some part of the line in list view that has text (file size, date) and not a blank part to drag and drop - right?

I've always thought this was a little weird.

I'm new to the Mac and couldn't figure out what I was doing that would sometimes and sometimes not work. Thanks for replying! :)
