Incase Hard Case & Incase sleeve

I'm going to start bring my 2009 15' macbook pro to work and around. I currently barely take it out. Right now i use a http://www.staples.com/Wenger-Pegasus-Laptop-Backpack/product_634619?cmArea=SEARCH
to carry my things. I was thinking of getting a hard case to put around the laptop and a sleeve to put on top of it and then put it in my bag.

Will sleeve fit over hardcase?
If i just buy hardcase is it protected enough?
Any help is appreciated

The sleeve will stretch to fit over a hard case. If you want actual protection, you may want this.
