Got the speck case satin purple, more because I wanted a purple MBP than any other reason lol. It fits well, no issues with fitting and removing the bottom case, the top case is a bit of a pain to get back off though. Also it does pick up marks really easily like BlackiBook mentions.

I have 2 Specks 1 Clear and 1 Black Satin.... i like the clear for a couple reasons.

1. It slides into the incase sleeve much easier

2. The clear still shows the beauty of the MBP

just my 2 cents

i have the new revised speck iSatin that my gf just bought for me. very nice feel to it. the new version of this case allows the magsafe charger to properly attached during charger. i've went ahead and attached several pictures.

i just want to point out how lucky you guys are. i don't have any real hardcase options that i know of after a few nights of looking. and the sleeve options are limited as well :(

Bought a Speck See Thru for my new MBP 2010. Apparently they'd just nicked out the extra plastic near the magsafe connector...:(

And yesterday when I tried to remove the case for the weekly clean up, I broke one of the hook holding the lower case...Long story short, I went out and got an Incase Hardshell(Black) today. I put it on just now, it fits great. Unlike Speck, they didn't cut out the extra plastic, the lower part seems to be newly built. But material-wise, I think speck has thicker plastic:eek: Incase has slimmer plastic.(Incase's feels slightly slimmer in my hand) But the hooks on the Incase's seems to be built better, they feel tougher

My suggestion, buy both and return the one that you don't like :p

I have the Speck See Thru Satin Red for my MBP 13". I like it. Color looks great and that GLOWING APPLE! Wow!

It makes the MBP just a little more bulky. What I don't like is:

1. The thing is freaking hard to remove. I ripped off my nail trying to remove it. The tabs that keeps it on the MBP are difficult to move!

2. That material scratches but you won't see the scratches. It hides scratches very well. You'll def feel the scratches when you move your fingers across the surface though.

3. Cleaning it is a BITCH. I tried cleaning it with a paper towel and some alcohol. The lint and residue from the paper towel left behind small white particles...Needless to say, USE A MICROFIBER CLOTH!

I want a Speck See Thru but no where in the UK can tell me if they have the new version or not.

Everytime I email them they tell me I should email Speck about it but when I email Speck I get the same generic reply about how they have a sticker on.

I like the satin feel more but I use a sleeve and Wrapsol covering. I feel like the MBP doesn't really need a case. Just be careful with it.

Could you post pics of the Incase please?

i was just about ready to order a MBP15 with incase hardshell. the apple sales girl on the phone was absolutely sure that it would fir the new MBP.

This is the model she was talking about:
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TW292ZM/B?mco=MTgzODIzOTY

however some reviews on the apple site state it doesnt fit. Does anyone know if it does or doesnt fit *properly* around the new magsafe?

also everybody was always raving about this thing but on the apple site i seem to read just negative reviews, making me doubt and wanting to get a crumpler sleeve instead.,...

so are they of lesser quality now? do they break and scratch?

I know this thread is kinda old, but can you post pictures of the case on the Macbook Pro, showing the side with all the ports, with and without the Magsafe adapter on. I would like to see what did they to that particular corner in order for the new magsafes to fit properly.

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/964817/

I posted pics in that thread. Unfortunately it doesn't clip on properly, but I called Incase and they are sending me a new one (I don't even have to return the messed up one :p )

Where doesnt the Incase clip on properly? I read a couple of posts of people having similar issues. I also noticed that the bottom part of the case doesnt clip on in the back, to the corners of the macbook, like the speck, so im assuming thats where your issue is..?? Also, does the case allow you to tilt the screen all the way back?

I thought i was convinced on gettin the Speck SeeThru's, but im liking the Incase Hardshells. Please, keep us posted on your replacement case, and let us know how that fits.
