I'd go for the surge. It looks better, especially if you're going to be walking around uni with it. I suppose it's a matter of personal taste at the end of the day!

Haha you gotta love 2 differing opinions :). How much bigger is the Surge compared to the incase? Also does the surge have a padded laptop compartment like the incase does? That faux fur material seems real nice...

They look around the same size, except getting the nylon incase makes you look like some queer business man while the surge makes you look like a casual student, which is it gonna be :D
Don't mind me, just a girl having herself some fun here.:)

I'd go with the surge. It looks better and it will probably be more comfortable since it's made by the north face.

LOL, thanks Fourty05 ;). So you just suggest I go with an additional padded sleeve and just get TNF?

i have the incase backpack and love it. the section for the laptop is very smooth. and theres lots of room still to back stuff in there and it's comfortable too. rode (motorcycle) for an hour each way to a beach. no problems.

Thanks King Louis. For you guys that have TNF Surge, is the laptop compartment actually padded? I was looking at pictures, and it seems as if it is.
