Anyone else have this case? I'm anxiously awaiting some more replies and thoughts.

I think I will want this case I just want to make sure there is nothing else to worry about besides bulkiness, which I am not concerned with, protection and more power are two major pluses for me.:D

I got my ivyskin quattro case on Black Friday, and it turned it into white ;) ...

Simply the best iPhone 3G case, in the market. They had a letter in the package about the battery extension that will be available in couple of weeks which make this case much superior than incase. It can be added to the case that I just received and turns it into a "SmartCase"

What store had the ivyskins?

The iPhone's battery must be thin considering it fits inside the iPhone. That makes me wonder why this case is so damn fat!

I absolutely love mine. It is a little heavier (which i like). It feels solid in your hand. No regrets buying this. It also prevents cycles on my iphone battery as well. It uses the external first then the iphone battery. Charges Iphone first and then the external. Great design, I am very pleased with it.

Carlos has a review here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbvJziV37zE check it out guys

Thanks for the link. Easier to watch that than to read the manual ;) I powered mine on this morning at 5:00 a.m, the PS died at about 5:00 p.m after heavy surfing and push e-mail use and now my iPod's battery is barely touched at 11:00 p.m. I don't use it as heavily at home, but still this really lets me keep the Wifi cooking. I did use bluetooth for about an hour.

Anyone found a Messenger Bag strap case for this big boy? Belt clip?

It will be interesting to see how this compares with the IvySkin battery rig coming out in about 4 weeks. I called them today and that is what they thought the ETA was. Waiting for Apple license. If I understood IvySkin right the battery in the device is like a battery pack would be interchange with additional batteries. Take that Blackberry ;)

no problem, I have seen every single one of his vids, and even won something in his giveaway so I like to refer people to him when I can. I myself can't afford this right now but will probably look into getting one when I get a new job. Carlos did say incase might be sending him one to giveaway so subscribe to his videos and keep watching you might win one of theese power sliders!

Hello all,

I ordered this case on Saturday and mine came in this afternoon (Tuesday).

After putting my iPhone in it and playing around with it, it seems the phone has become and little on the unresponsive/slower side. Anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

Thanks

Incase Power Slider so Far...

So far this case has been great and it does cost a chunk of change but the sound mind of knowing my Iphone is now a very reliable machine makes it worth the money. I have used Qik, Twiiter, Geo-Location and Push all without fail and for more than a full day. The case does make the iphone a but thicker but its nothing that bothersome. It still fits in my jeans and I kinda of like the antiquated way it makes the phone look. Its also sits very evenly in the hand. I should have a review up soon. If power is what your after this case seems to be the best and only option...

i just picked up a Power Slider today at my local best buy. I really do love it. It adds some bulk but still feels solid in the hand and has the classic slider look but with a mattte finish. having more than double the battery time is very conveniant to me since i often forget to charge my iphone and use it all the time on my breaks at work. anyone on the fence about it id give it a 9/10. i take a point off because it does add some bulk.

Nice, brief review. Thanks.

Looks like cell phone from 1985!!!

Looks like a giant brick cell phone from 1985!!! It kinda defeats the purpose of having a slim phone.

Just picked up the power slider

I just picked up the power slider as well.

It's not for the penny pinchers, but well worth it ($99 from best buy). It does add some bulk, but nothing like some on here are trying to say. So far, an excellent purchase. My laptop is gonna feel alot more lonely now I have this.

Why can't someone just invent a device that feeds off our own body. I mean we do generate electricity right? Take it a step further and feed off our body. :p

"Introducing, fatassPod!

Stick this node right into your gut and generate power for your iPod from running your own fat ass down the street! Charge time varies, but a typical 30-mile run will get you about an hour of battery life. Since this new iPhone can only be charged using this method, BETTER START TRAINING!"

:)

My Impressions of the Power Slider/Mophie Comparison

I had this case for over 3 weeks now, after exchanging my Mophie. My impressions:

Pros:
- Doubles the battery life of my iPhone.
- Covers my entire iPhone as opposed to the Mophie which covers it only half way. Looks and feels tough enough to protect my iPhone from a drop.
- For those worried about scratching the metal bezel of the iPhone, worry not! This case does not touch the bezel at all!!! You got to try it to believe it.
- The case texture is comfortable to the touch. I have sweaty hands and this absolutely stops my sweating the moment I hold it. Highly recommended for people with the same condition as me.
- Fits snuggly and does not wobble.
- Added thickness equals added grip and comfort.

Cons:
- It does not last as long as the Mophie. Mophie happens to have a higher capacity battery.
- 5th battery indicator goes off after full charge and using your iPhone for a few seconds. They might as well have not added it.
- IMPORTANT: Reception is affected. Usually can make calls in elevators, underground mall food courts but with this on, I am now unable to. :(
- IMPORTANT: Mic reception is somewhat affected. I sometimes have to repeat what I said with this thing on.
- Hole for the iPhone camera not exactly centered to the camera. It doesn't block the camera though.
- Doubles the thickness of my iPhone. For those who like to carry theirs in pant pockets, this is not for you. But then again, I don't carry my iPhone in my pocket...did you know that this promotes dust inside the screen?...don't tell me I didn't warn you. :)
- Synching iPhone with this on is a hit and miss affair. I end up removing it to sync my iPhone. I don't believe this is fixable by any kind of update and it's annoying as heck.

Would I go back to the Mophie? Well, if they redesign the case to cover the entire iPhone, then I will. At this time, I am willing to sacrifice capacity over cosmetic and the added extra protection of the Slider.

I hope this helps with your decission. :)

Thanks for the review.

Is the reception effect severe? Does the Mophie effect reception?

I am not seeing the drop on reception, but I live in a very strong ATT network zone.

I agree with everything already stated by donster28. The big issue for me is the sync problem, it really is hit or miss.

My first problem is that it wouldn't sync at all. In the instructions it tells you to completely charge the case before use. What it doesn't tell you is that the phone also needs to be complete charged before syncing. It "kind" of covers this in the book by saying you must have 2 dots to sync, but doesn't say why. When I first plugged it in it would simply start syncing then simply cancel. It seems the case will only sync if the phone is showing the plugged in state.

Following correction of that I tried to sync a new application, an update to an app and a new playlist. The app and update went fine but several attempts failed to add the playlist. The playlist only synced after I pulled the phone from the case and synced with the phone cable.

I do really like the overall look and feel. It does make the phone larger and thicker but it's nice for the longer battery life. If I want to drop to just the phone the case does come off quickly (and without leaving marks).

I finally got to see one of these in person, and wow, the pictures do it NO justice. The case is really nice. It is no where near as huge as it looks.

The case is not as thick as it looks, or as long. It really isn't all that much bigger than the regular incase slider that I have now.

The ONLY downside I could come up with, is that the phone is constantly charging as a result of having the case plugged in. It doesn't extend the battery life or give additional battery..... instead it is a battery that is constantly charging the iphone battery. Know what that means? It means you cannot display your own custom wallpapers because you'll always see the charging logo. True.

I got it for Christmas and it is a nice case. I am not going to use it everyday because it definitely adds bulk but will use it on plane rides and other situations where i need extra battery life.
