Incipio Atlas Waterproof Case

Dang, that looks pretty awesome. I will have to get one for the wife, she has an issues with wine and iphones.

So my first impression is it is a solid case. Doesn't feel cheap at all and fits very nice in your hand similar to the LP. The screen sits very flush with no gap and NO OIL SLICKS! At least not yet, the tempered glass feels very good almost like the the phone with without a screen protecter. It snaps all the way around with no gaps and you can hear the clicks. The home button and ports are easy to get to and press. Now the BAD NEWS it is very very air tight. You can hear fine and speak fine when not in speaker phone, but when recording video or speaking in speaker you can definitely tell it is inclosed tight. So the muffled sounds are low. When hearing the music it sounds muffled and air tight. So does it feel durable? YES very and is a solid case and it will keep all water and dust out and protect it from drops. I am going to keep it on the phone for a little while and see if the sounds gets better. Please let me know how all of yours test out.

Thanks for your initial impressions and the pics. I am looking forward to checking out mine later this week. Happy about the screen. I obviously expect the sound to be muffled somewhat, but hoping not too bad. Keep us updated on the sound.
 
Is it muffled when you open up the bottom similar to how you have to open the lifeproof case to not have the music sound muffled ?

Please give us pictures with the phone installed and screen off. No oil slicks, but bad sound? I'm waiting on the blue & black. I guess I'm another week or so out.

Please put up some videos recorded directly from the phone. I just want to know if the recorded audio is also muffled due to the air tight case.

I didn't encounter any audio issues whatsoever with the Otterbox Armor.

Thanks for the first impressions. Glad the screen seems to not be plagued with oil slicks and it seems like sound is just always going to be muffled with it being air tight but can't wait to get mine in the next week or so

Hey Cubano21 are those headphone adapters waterproof as well and can you post pics of what it looks like with the headphone adapter?
 
Cubano21 I have a question for you? When on a phone call can you hear ok ? I got my case today and the volume is horrible. I can hardly hear anyone. I'm very depressed because I love this case.

Rut roh, raggy........ Did you have a LifeProof case how would you compare the sound between the 2.
 
I figured out the problem. I submerged the case in water. So I guess water clogged the ear piece. I tried a phone call 20 minutes later and all is good. I do have a life proof. The volume on the ear piece is the same. The sound volume is not as loud as life proof. The glass screen saver and the hard plastic are awesome on the atlas! One thing to consider is the speaker goes threw the back like life proof. I wish it came out the bottom like the otterbox arour.

Awesome! Can't wait for mine. Can you post a pic with the headphone adapter attached and is it waterproof with it attached?
 
I don't know how to post pics. But I don't think the headphone adapter is waterproof. The instructions say "insert the included splashproof headphone adapter into the iPhone 5 headphone port to ensure a good seal."

No worries, so it's only splash proof with the headphone adapter attached. Thank goodness I don't use the headphones anyways.:D

The speaker sound goes through the back is going to really suck. I hope you are wrong. I knew this case was going to suck. :(

I'll find out as soon as my black and blue one arrives 6 months from now.
 
It's just like the life proof. The reason I think the sound is not so load is because the back piece is coated in rubber. It's defiantly not a deal breaker. I love this case so far. I've had all three (lifreproof,otterbox armor and the atlas) this case is by far the best. So far that is.

Good thing I only listen to music through my headphones so speaker sound isn't a deal breaker for me.
