Dumb question - how does Amazon sell it for so much cheaper?

The case company has to set a price that will allow resellers to sell it at the same or less. If they were selling it for cheaper than resellers then their resellers would cry foul. The bigger stores move in volume and sell many and can afford to compete heavily on price And you have stores with much lower volume (or Best Buy) that sell it for full price to make it worth their time.

From my chat session with Incipio support moments ago

"Allyson A:
As of right now, it is looking like those will ship early next week."

That's pathetic. I ordered one from their website based on their stated estimated ship date of March 16. Now, all they can do is tell us what date it is "looking like"??

I can't see where they give you a chance to enter the coupon code?
*EDIT* nvm, very first page of the order

I'm also a bit disappointed by this. They charged my credit card several days ago, so I thought I might get an early delivery. Now, with the delay and the 5 to 8 day shipping, the case may not arrive for several weeks. This was a bad choice on my part.

Well, I ordered the black Lexington today on Amazon, and I just got an email from my bank that my card was charged. So hopefully, it will be shipping soon?

That sucks. Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

their website ALWAYS said "estimated delivery", as I said before I think the title of this thread was misleading...

Wait a second, does the Smart Feather case include both the front and the back? Or just the back? I'm confused...

Incipio has changed their Lexington web page as follows: "Please note: The Black color option is available for PRE-ORDER. Est Ship Date: Tuesday, Mar. 20*"

Oh thats just great

Gonna take a spin to walmart, target, and best buy today and scoop something up I guess in the meantime.

This pre order better be worth it...thinking of canceling now

why would anyone spend $20 on a back cover plus an additional $30 for a smart cover(total $50+)

aren't those $50+ better spent elsewhere?

yes agreed

not worth it at all IMO...especially knowing the smart cover just flaps around and wiggles a lot

not really smart at all

I ordered my smart feather on Tuesday and I chose free (5-8 day) shipping and it's being delivered today via USPS. Good thing I live very close to Incipio! ;)

Kind of glad that the Lexingtons has not been shipped yet. I would rather they get it right the first time than to deal with fitment issues and returns.

I agree -- and I would not want to be in charge of a company that shipped out a huge number of cases that weren't properly tested and were later exposed (for example) to have magnets in the wrong place to properly activate and de-activate the auto-sleep mode. On the other hand, I am feeling duped by their promises on their website when I placed the order; namely that the item would be shipped on the 16th. The invoice that I received on 3/9 says that the Lexington I ordered was "currently being packaged and prepared for shipment". Now it appears that this was a blatantly false statement because I seriously doubt that they were putting my Lexington in a shipping package at that time.

Hopefully someone from Incipio is keeping on top of this issue so that their company doesn't go down in flames from making false promises. Those California AG's can be tough, and the plaintiff's bar doesn't miss many opportunities! Today, Incipio's website states that the Lexington's estimated ship date is 3/20. Even worse, Amazon says that the Lexington won't be released from its third party vendor (mygearstore) until 3/31.
