Nice! It looks like a connector for nato bands.

For those unaware, a nato band is just a single nylon strap that you slip through the springbar openings of the watch. Very popular among watch people. Assuming this connector works with the existing bands out there today, it's gonna be a much cheaper alternative to Apple's offerings.

I would wait on 3rd party bands. My guess is the initial ones won't be that great. How could they be with no one having access to the hardware and the ability to reverse engineer the connector mechanism?

Higher Quality? I was under the impression that Incipio was an inexpensive brand.

Higher quality compared to the $10 Amazon and Ebay bands that are already on sale.

Sure Incipio is the Jordache of case makers but they aren't a swap meet no name brand either.

.....but only to those who have no interest in using ApplePay or any fitness features or feeling taptic feedback, because they've just covered the sensor & taptic feedback area.

I'm just saying.

Anyone that buys a $10 band off of Amazon or EBay deserves the crap they get. No way I would buy a 3rd party band right away because the first wave will most likely be cheap crap. No 3rd parties have access to the watch right now so they've had no time to study and re-engineer the connector mechanism.
