Takes up whole screen when locked.
Ok thanks. I wish they could have modified that as well.
I just had a call when locked and it did NOT take up the whole screen. iPhone Pro

Perhaps it was actually unlocked?I just had a call when locked and it did NOT take up the whole screen. iPhone Pro

Or was it locked but the screen was on? Maybe it's only full if the screen is off?Perhaps it was actually unlocked?

Is the caller photo just small or the whole call notification itself?Just tried it several times, screen off, small pic on top to answer.

Takes up the whole screen when locked. I doubt they would change that - what would be the point?
And there's got to be room for the slider to answer the call (since it can't just be a button like when the phone is unlocked), which means it wouldn't really fit in a banner notification.Incoming calls on a locked device take up the entire screen. That is a fact. There is no reason to do otherwise, since the device isn’t being used.
Even prior to iOS 14 contact photos could be displayed differently on the call screen depending on the kind of photos they are and how they were added to the contact.Prior to iOS 14 the contact photo would take up the whole screen yes.
But if it is now being said the photo itself is minimized somehow I would welcome that because I have always found the whole screen splash a bit jarring.
I’m pretty sure cc999 doesn’t understand what it means when “incoming call takes up the whole lock screen.”
He/she/they think it’s about the contact photo size.
I don't have the beta installed. Can someone explain how this is a bad thing? So what if it takes up the whole screen?
But if your phone is locked then you aren’t using it, so what’s the issue with the incoming calls taking up the full screen?I do not have the beta either.
I wanted to find out if there has been any changes hence this thread.
It might not necessarily be a bad thing but given a choice I would prefer a lesser intrusive interface just as they have done by minimizing it on an unlocked screen.
