Incoming email not working with 10.11.1

    Pop email with godaddy........outgoing email continues to work fine. No incoming email at all. I can log into their webmail and all is working fine. Godaddy suggested turning all SSL off and changing ports, all to no avail. Any suggestions?

    Open Connection Doctor under Window in the Menu bar. Do you see a red symbol for your incoming GoDaddy email? If yes, you need to add your password again on the main account window. Click out to save after entering.

    Switch to IMAP.

    I have had exactly this problem with my POP email accounts. I have raised a bug on it with Apple, but not had any suggested fix for it.

    In my case, Connection Doctor showed I was connected, but I still couldn't download email from my POP accounts. The IMAP accounts were fine.

    I've gotten sick of people telling me to switch to IMAP (no offence intended) but since I was crippled without the ability to download email I took the hit and it is, indeed, 100% better than POP when accessing from multiple devices.
