I have an (well, 3!) Apple TVs, 4th gen I think (2015 release, but purchased in 2016j.

My music library for purchased content is incomplete. Some music is there, but a lot of music is not.

Purchased movies are there okay.

Any suggestions why? I tried signing out and back in to iTunes on the Apple TV, and some recently purchased albums showed up, but then some others also vanished!

Is there any chance that you used another Apple ID to purchase the songs? Also, are you using iCloud Music Library or Apple Music? Or are these just songs that you've purchased through iTunes?

Thanks for your reply.

It’s the same account not which is logged in on my Mac.

I also, don’t have Apple Music. These are just songs I’ve purchased from iTunes.

Interesting... This is one that I would contact Apple Support for. I've only encountered this issue when there are multiple Apple IDs at play and it is a simple authorization issue. You may have stumbled across a bug that needs to be squished. Are you noticing a different spread of music on each Apple TV, or is it the same incomplete library across all of them?

I get the same problem with Purchased Movies across my devices.

I get all my movies on all my Apple TVs, except my old 3 which will not allow me to sign in at all (for at least a year) even though I enter the correct code from my phone each time, and I’m capable of signing in on the others correctly.

I get all my movies on my iPad but they disappear for up to 3 months at a time.

I get 2 of my movies on my iPhone and those two can disappear for up to 6 weeks at a time.

Because the TV is the most important to me I haven’t complained but it’s not exactly confidence inspiring. That’s Apple cloud services though.

How are you syncing your library? Are you using iCloud music library or home sharing? Also, are all your devices authorized? I’m not at home, but I believe you must authorize each device to be on your iCloud account.

I don't think you need to authorise iOS devices. Only computers (PC, Mac).
iOS devices also do not count against the limit of 5 that you can authorise to your iTunes account.

Hey, thanks guys. It transpired that some of my purchases were "hidden". Not sure how this happened, but they then showed up.

New issue is that sometimes my entire music library fails to show, and I just see a music tile. Movies and TV shows are all there. Such an inconvenience after investing so heavily in Apple TV.
