Getting the following type of error quite commonly when running disk utility:

(It should be 6000 instead of 252339)
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking catalog hierarchy.
Checking extended attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Volume bitmap needs minor repair for orphaned blocks
Checking volume information.
Invalid volume free block count
(It should be 16391580 instead of 15904859)
The volume GordonDisc Pro (II) was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD. Restart your computer, holding down the Command key and the R key until you see the Apple logo. When the Mac OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk Utility.
I think the mainasset.video is something to do with the Sky Go Player. Would this likely be a software or hardware problem? It's kind of worrying me. I do run disk repair from the lion startup partition but it keeps happening.

Cheers. Would that fix anything that disk utility doesn't? Do you know if this error is likely to be caused by a dodgy disk or a dodgy app?

If you are running Lion, reboot into the recovery partition and access Disk Utilities from there. Then run repair disk and repair permissions. If you are not running Lion try booting from the installation disk and run the suggested.
