    Hi everyone,

New to the forum, hello! I reformatted my girlfriends computer, and now i'm having trouble with transferring old files from Seagate (external hard drive) onto the newly formatted computer. I am transferring videos, music, pictures, etc via terminal. I've been using the command: sudo ditto -V (and then dragging the source and pasting, and then dragging the destination and pasting) for some reason this isn't working! It worked for me at work, but it's not working on our home Macs...dang! What am I doing wrong? Thank you very much for any help/suggestions

    Allen

    You're missing some spaces.

sudo ditto [space] -V [space] /Volumes... etc.
