Increased frequency of password request on wake (Sequoia 15.7.4)

I'm getting asked for the password on waking my Mac (M4 Pro mini) from sleep several times per day (instead of TouchID). This used to happen once or twice per week. It's quite annoying, and would seem to be less secure than relying on TouchID.

Try using the USB-C cable so the Magic Keyboard is used wired. My bet is BT interference.

Also - update. macOS Sequoia is up to 15.7.5 now.

If you are on the Beta channel, the latest Sequoia is 15.7.7 (24G716).

re installing the system seems to have finally fixed this for me
