I'm happy with the number of PMs that my inbox fits and it (usually) allows me to function without having to back up my PMs elsewhere.

I was just wondering, can we expect slightly larger inbox in the future?

I'd like more space too, I think its a GMail 'Store everything' thing.

Do you not get all the "adult content" ones from the Demi-Goddesses?

When I'm making a sale, etc it is imperative to have past correspondence.

I usually try to shift the convo to email so that it doesn't take up all my inbox.

also, sometimes friends will send you nice pms that you don' want to delete.

Um, what's the sound of "ears perking up"? Insert above.

I was actually thinking something similar, but I assumed that Arn would have done it by now if he could have.

Perhaps it could be a minor demi privilege? (an extra 25 or 50 messages for example?).

As I recall, the PM limit was raised a year or so ago. If you need your PMs so badly, copy them into a document.

Nothing wrong with wanting more. ;)

But, like I said (and you implicated) Arn would have raised the limit again if he could have. I doubt he conspires to limit our ability to store PMs. :p

For those who haven't noticed, you can download all of your Private Messages in your choice of formats: XML, comma-delimited, or plain text. This lets you keep copies of your messages as long as you like, and clear out your message boxes periodically.

This option is on each message box page, in particular on the main Inbox page.

To download your messages, look for this area at the bottom of the page:
    Download all Private Messages as:
    XML | CSV | Text
Click one of the links to download your messages. Afterwards, you can delete them from your MacRumors message boxes, one message box at a time (Inbox, Sent Items, and any other folders you have created).

Going off of what Doctor Q wrote, I'd like to remind everyone (incase they didn't know) that you can also have PMs sent directly to your mailbox, and the text of the PM will appear in an email (along with who sent it).

Check the box in your "Edit Options" tab under User CP. :)
