So in Tiger, whenever you changed the location of an application, when you tried to open the app from the dock you would get a ?, and would have to remove that from the dock and then re-add it. I just moved a whole bunch of apps to a new folder, and to my surprise, after a couple extra seconds of bouncing, leopard relocated the apps in their new location, and the app ran - it's like it ran spotlight for the app.

That's impressive. I've already removed the icon from the Dock and then re-added it after I moved the file. That's good to know.
