The real kicker is that T-Mobile's official response to these allegations was that they are not throttling anything, in the strictest technical sense, but rather 'optimizing the video stream for mobile viewing experiences'

This independent investigation from the EFF basically calls them out on this bold faced lie. They are, in fact, throttling the video streams. There's also the fact that all video providers are being throttled, not just the providers that opted into their service.

YouTube was 100% justified and it's legal complaint. This is also on shaky ground when it comes to net neutrality. Shame on you T-Mobile. Shame on you for lying to consumers and your official response and shame on you for trying to cross the line that is net neutrality.

If Binge On does not alter or reduce the video quality in any way, then here's the only problem I see:
- If I'm streaming a video and 1.5 Mbps is enough for a good quality stream, then no problem.
- If instead I want to download the video and can't go faster than 1.5Mbps, then we have a huge problem!
