Does anyone know of a cheaper Indesign alternative?
I need to design a football matchday programme for the coming season.

    Thanks

I wouldn't necessarily call it cheaper, but the only other decent Desktop Publishing program i would look at would be Quark Xpress and at $850 not really cheap either.

I have heard people using Microsoft Publisher or Apple Pages, but I would really call either a true Desktop Publishing program either.

Here is a list of alternatives to InDesign. The closest thing to InDesign is Quark Xpress, but will cost you just as much as ID. Check out the list I posted and see if anything on the list will work for you.

Have you considered subscribing to InDesign CC for the period of time you need it? At $20/mth it may be the cheaper alternative and then you have all the tools to do the job.

Wish I could have been of more help to you.

If you're a student, teacher, or employee of an educational institution, there's a good chance you'll qualify for educational pricing. For example, with Adobe CC, it's $30/month instead of $50/month. Not sure what the discount would be for Quark. but usually it's at least 60% off the MSRP.

iWork can also be used for some rudimentary page design.

    Good luck!

if it's a small program brochure (a couple pages) where u don't have tons of pages
and multiple repeated character and paragraph styles.
    u could make in photoshop
    or illustrator

ive made books with indesign and small programs but
usually i just use photohsop for smaller projects
it seems quicker setup for me.
