Indesign and Lion

10.7.1 osx lion and indesign cs5 doesn't work, the program starts but when i want to open a document, the app chrashes! Tried to update Java and indesign with the latest updates but nothing works!

Re-install.

InDesign CS3 works just fine on Lion (with removal of the Adobe print drivers), so I would imagine that CS5 would also work fine as well.

As the poster ahead of me stated, uninstall and re-install and re-try.

CS5 Design Premium working well with Lion here. Check for font problems.
