Totally missed the point, but whatever.

Carry on.

Your words "Remember the Sonos One has the same issue, the difference is Apple is targeted by the Hate Machine more often than Sonos. That's a factor here as well."

My words "You really think Apple should be compared to Sonos?"

Your point (unless I missed it) was that Apple was being judged by different standards than folks judged Sonos with (with the presumption that that isn't fair). My response to your point is that Apple is in all ways bigger and better than Sonos...and it doesn't compare to only offer comparable products or design or anything (really) that other companies do, but better, more innovative, magical, etc. etc.

While I recognize that "the hate machine" exists, I think being critical or even more critical of Apple compared other businesses is reasonable given the company that Apple is and the one that they advertise to be. I think that it's unfair to lump all critiques of Apple in, even regarding this issue (which isn't that big of a deal), with "the hate machine."

Not even close. My point is there is a herd of Apple haters who will find fault with Apple no matter what they do.

Apple could solve the world hunger problem and these people would still find an angle to hate them for it.

I realized what you were saying, I think, when I wrote the second part...

I tend to agree that this is a non issue issue, but I think people have a point when they say Apple should know better...at least in terms of providing warnings, etc., from the get-go. But, I don't see reviewers focusing on the white ring problem (just that Siri sucks)...I see people complaining about the ring problem here in this thread, but for as many that seem to be blind haters there are others that have decent reasoning, too, imo.
