For those of you interested in iPhone connectivity read on..

I attended a 'Best of Boston' event tonight where Infiniti had a new G37 on display. I was able to play around with the nav and radio.. I plugged my iPhone into the connector and the Nav screen promptly shows all of my albums, artists, songs, pod casts, books etc.. Control your music via the touchscreen, knob, steering wheel or voice. Full iPhone pairing.. didnt test contact upload of course..

I have a new g37 on order which should arrive within the next few weeks... happy my iPhone is so well connected with this car.

i expect you're talking about the infiniti crossover concept in December? I saw it in New York at the NYIAS a few months back.. very nice car.

The G37 will be released Aug 21st.. though many of us pre-ordered the car.. as i did five months ago.. so its a long wait but it's almost over.

iPod/iPhone connectivity was big for me.. and up until last night many of us on the G37 forums didnt know how complete it was.... and from last nights demo of the car.. i dont think Infiniti could have built in a nicer connection.

For more g37 info head on over to FreshAlloys G37 forum where i posted more pics of last nights event.

One more thing.. as others have mentioned.. the iPhone prompts for airplane mode when connected with the car... within seconds all of your song info is on the nav.. very snappy.

Must be a member and logged in :( Thanks just the same, but I don't need another forum membership :)

The pic you posted above, of the exterior, is one of the more flattering angles I've seen. I like how it looks, a lot.

I've been considering an FX, waiting on the refresh. Hopefully the iPod connection is the same as the G37 :)

WOW, really messed the navis up on the G, the pop up was much nicer, looks like the BMW i drive......yuck oh ok its anot a 35 yea!!!!!!!

to each there own.. i owned a 2003 G35 coupe and that pop-up nav SUCKED. looked like someone added a toaster to the car. seriously.. the navigation performed well.. but that pop-up didnt do justice that 40k car.

the new nav on the g37 is as close to perfect as you can get. the "iDrive" knob as you mentioned is one of many options.. voice, touchscreen, steering etc. use what works for ya. dont knock it till you try it. the BMW iDrive is terrible..

Iphone and Infiniti G37

I just bought a 2008 G 37 and am having problems with the iphone. The blue tooth/phone function works great. When I hook the phone to the cable supplied with the vehicle I get a message about "this device is not compatible"...it then states that if I want to listen to music it will have to be placed in airplane mode and phone disabled. Surely there is some way around this? My phone is not the 3G version.

I'm worried I may damage the phone if the cable is not compatible and I want to have the phone available while listening to music. Does anyone know of a better adapter/cable? Are the other three jacks an alternative for another type of cable? Any help is appreciated!

I took a look at the pic in the OP, and thought: "Jeez. This dude really needs to connect to iTunes.
Then I saw the post date. :D

your not going to damage the phone you will just get the awful data "buzz" through the speakers ... happens with my 2G iphone and alpine head unit and ipod kit...

I have the 2009 G37 converticle and have the exact same problem. I've not had any help from the dealership...has anyone found a solution?

The solution is ignore the warning and hit no when it asks if you want to put the phone in airplane mode. It does not effect any functionality at all of the way the radio interacts with the phone or any functionality of the phone.

iPhone and G37

It works wonderfully except the iPhone doesn't charge while connected. Kind of limiting for long trips, etc.

That's weird. My 2009 Pontiac G5 has a similar feature just not the nice big display, it has a smaller text-only display that you control via a knob or the steering wheel, but it charges the phone while its connected to the stereo via USB (my stereo also has an Aux-In port as well).

I also love my car's bluetooth feature, as soon as i turn the ignition my phone is paired to my car and all calls go through my cars speaker and uses my car's built-in mic and a button on the steering wheel answers/ends the call.
