yes it is repetitive, but it gets harder as you move up and i like upgrading. i hope that they do bring multiplayer fights and i hope when they do a sequel you can bring your upgraded character to it. does apple limit the size of a game? i wonder if there will be a developer that will bring a "full" game to the iphone. one that equals up to a full psp game that will be over a GB in size. it's not like it won't fit. you can change your apps.

i'd like to see apple add a way, on your mac, to save set ups. so if i'm going on vacation and want to have less games and more books and room for photos and videos i can do that. then come back home download those things and with one click switch back to having all my games back on my iphone/ipad in the same menu configuration.

I've not downloaded this yet (I did have the demo which was great and completely different as we know)

I probably will download at some stage, perhaps wait till a special offer price as I know I won't play the game, well, what "game" there actually is.

However, and this is my main point.

Go back a couple of months or so to the Apple event, I believe it was the 4.2 event, and Steve Jobs showed this game, or rather the demo.

He showed personal amazement at it from a technical achievement.

Steve jobs, we all know is a VERY personal guy, in that if he hates something himself, irrespective of the industry, it's not going to happen on an Apple product.

In my mind, seeing Steve Jobs personally and publicly giving this game, or rather the technical achievement of this game/the demo speaks volumes about him wanting to make his products in the future able to deliver more of this in the future.

Which is great for us all, as that mean, he is going to want to develop the ability of Apples iOS products to deliver better graphics and speed now he can see he's on the right path.

Perhaps he sees the iOS devices as his path into the gaming industry which, lets be honest, the Macs pretty much flopped at for I guess a variety of reasons. Weak graphics cards due to insistence on slim design over technical ability being the most obvious one, and I'd almost say it's too late for the Mac in this area at this moment in time of gaming.

But he's now got, with the iPad, potentially the best handheld gaming device ever made.

Kill guy A... Get a bag of money... Kill guy B... Get a bag of money... Kill guy C... Get the same sword as last time. Then eventually you get killed by the last guy. Then you start over... Killing the same 8 or so guys. Get more money to buy better armor. No adventure, no exploring, just point to point battles. I guess after fighting the same guys over and over you defeat the guy at the end. I want my 6 bucks back.

yup!! you summed it up pretty good. I beat the big boss at the end yesterday. The game starts to get boring after repeatedly going through the same battles only so you can rack up more money to get better armor and weapons.

Once you beat the guy at the end the game has no more appeal. The game delivers big as far as graphics go and offers some exciting and novel fighting but all these qualities are rather ephemeral.

At least "Infinity Blade" causes some spiteful envy amongst some "Android" users. There is no game available on Android that can even come close to the eye candy in this game, and that will probably be true for at least another 6 months or even a year.

On a side note multi-player abilities and more freedom to explore would make this game great. I also think that adding some "haptic" type vibrational feed back in battles would be a nice and novel addition. Sure this would kill battery life even further but one could turn it off in the options settings.

This game is a "Pass the time by" type of game. It is fun, but they should add some more moves, transitions for moves . The storyboard is rock solid and it does get harder as you play.

Someone hit the nail on the head, with saying it should be made into a multiplayer game... Fighting others over bluetooth, wifi local and then also being able to fight others globally! That would be a good ticker!

Well I made decent money off my App in the beginning. But now I get about $50 (my share) per month in sales (not bad since I have not done much with in for 18 months)

It's "Das Boot:The Hunt For U-505" if anyone is interested.

Isn't that always how it is, though? I'm not an App Store developer so, i'm asking, but I kept hearing that while you were in the top 10 spot or if your stuff was popular overall then sales were pretty brisk. Once you drop off the list or the popularity dies down and it becomes much harder to find the game, sales taper off significantly.

Anyone wanna chime in?

Only for devs who are not frequently active. Update your app, change the price often, lots of little things that can keep you appearing on apps like App Shopper.

Infinity looks like a big waste of $6. Maybe when it's $0.99

I made it up to fight the end boss on this yesterday and was quickly dispatched, but I'm only level 4 or so. I didn' see me being able top beat him anytime soon, which keeps me interested. I thin k this game is pretty cool and will be playing it for a whie. Hopefully by the time I beat it there will be some updates that add more content. Fighting against other people online would be pretty darn cool, as would more story line and a wider variety of opponents.

Which better reviews are you waiting for? It was rated pretty highly on IGN, Engadget, Ars Technica, GamePro, and others... Has a 4.5 average rating out of 5000 ratings on the App store...

They must've made at least $2 mil. That's a good amount for a mobile phone game... If anything, it'll just bring more developers over to the iOS system, and that's a win-win!
