Hello!

I . . . was really hoping I could solve this problem by myself. Yet I cannot. So sad.

I assume someone out there will be able to help me in about three seconds, and make me feel kind of stupid. Here goes!

I'm using a Macbook Pro (C2D, bought last November), and I've never had any trouble using iChat for my Jabber services. Just yesterday, however, I installed a wireless router in my home. The internet works fine! The wireless router works fine!

However, iChat keeps disconnecting me.

In almost a year, this has never happened, so it's a little bit frustrating.

I thought, maybe there's an option to tell iChat to just log me back in automatically if I'm logged out . . . though I definitely cannot find this option.

Why is this happening? Is there some problem with the wireless that I can't see? :(

Thanks in advance.

i am confused on one part, are you saying for the year it was working the computer was hard wired or was it running wireless? It sounds like the only thing that has changed was the addition of the wireless, but if it worked for a year and suddenly stopped then there is some other issue. I do not think the issue is iChat, for it to log out almost always stems from some sort of connection issue either the wireless signal drops for a moment or you sign on somewhere else or something, but it doesn't sound like an application specific issue. To be safe, how about repairing permissions also.
