I've had none of these issues. You might have an iLemon.

Nah... read the OP's original text and the whole thread of their replies. Clearly this is someone that has never used an iPhone is just awkwardly not knowing what to do and ignoring learning how to set it up. For anyone familiar with using Smartphones, the iPhone is about as intuitive as you get for simple setup (well maybe other than 3D Touch)

100% PEBKAC. Or PEIFOP (Problem Exists In Front Of Phone).

1. Ringer button sticks out and so is frequently being accidentally bumped against and pushed down so that I cannot hear any incoming calls. And when I can't hear incoming calls I sometimes lose the phone since I cannot call it from another phone in order to locate where it is.

2. I'm constantly missing incoming calls because of the multi-second delay it takes me to perform the "Slide to Accept Call" gesture and Apple provides no way for me to disable that draconian "feature".

3. Constant interuption with ads from Apple - like when I click on the Message icon to start writing a new text message I get interupted with a “Please sign into the iTunes store” message. Similarly, other advertisements routinely appear such as “not enough space to back up your iPhone, please upgrade your storage”

4. Formatting is lost when I Copy parts of old text message and paste them into new messages.

5. Multiple unintuitive steps required to delete old email and text messages.

6. Yellow-Orange tint to all photos and videos I shoot with the phone. So this forces me to color correct all photos and videos I shoot.

I've been an Apple User since 1997 and the iPhone is the first Apple product I've hated because it is so unintuitive and complicated to use for even the most basic of functions such as answering phone calls.

I also have not one of those issues.
Sounds to me like you need to move to another platform.

You sound like you have no idea how to properly use this phone. Never once encountered any of these. Posts like this are ridiculous.

When I saw this thread I was like oh I hope someone else has the same issue as me! And then I read the OP. Anyway, to contribute to the thread, my biggest annoyance with the 6s Plus is when I click a link in safari it doesn't always open. Sometimes I have to hit it 2 or 3 times. I'm assuming, as I've never had this issue on any iPhone that I may be pressing a tad to hard and it's not opening because of 3D Touch. That's the only thing I can come up with. I've noticed I have to zoom in a lot on this phone to be the most accurate when tapping a link to open it.

This morning I swapped mine out for a 5s and an iPad Mini 4.

Reasons:

The phone completely frozen several times yesterday (using Fruit Ninja Puss n Boots and calendar). After me doing resets (holding power and home buttons down til the Apple appears), there was also the problems with the headphone jack: A little over a week and I heard crackling and my Sony headphones slipped out constantly - that was super annoying since I cannot wear Apples' Earpods. And the phone volume is too low I never put it past the mid level.

Not to mention various software hiccups.

The nice screen and very good battery life were just not worth the hassles. I get that I won't be able to game on the phone, no big deal, but after the 6 mishap in September I just didn't want to deal with a newer Apple iPhone. I've become skittish about build quality.

Why 5s - the build quality is much better for me. A sturdier iPhone. I can read just fine without retina added bonus.

Why iPad Mini 4 - again build quality. Bigger screen than iPhone 6s+ and I missed mine believe or it not. I like it as a consumption device and it may help for school.

Two devices might sound like a bit of managing etc. but they were slightly more than the 6s+ with none of the headaches I've experienced.

Problem exists between keyboard and chair...
No wait, that doesn't work with portable handheld devices.

Problem exists between iPhone and... whatever is behind the user?

The only item in your list that I can relate to is the delay in "slide to accept". I have missed many calls due to the delay in the OS recognizing my swipe. This is especially true if the call comes in while I have been playing a game or doing something RAM intensive - the whole OS chokes up while transitioning to the call screen and delays recognition of finger swipe.

But if you are doing something on the phone when a call comes in then there is no swipe action that is offered or needed to answer (or reject) the call.

Hmm.. you maybe right. Let me go back and test this behavior with more focus as opposed to recollecting from memory.

1. happened only couple of times, but i use a case. with a slim case, it is easy to toggle the switch on/off, but i had a bulkier case and the switch never accidentally went off. but without a case, that may happen.

2. no issue for me

3. unfortunately. i wrote a looooong review for an app in appstore and before i started to write it, it asked me to sign in and when i hit the button "send", it asked me again to sign-in itunes account and the message disappeared... didnt write it again... itunes/appleid/after 48hours bugs... something is definitely wrong.

4. copy- paste is acting wierd sometimes. i cannot always copy because i cannot select the text or the cursor is totally in a wrong place. selecting just couple of words is causing sometimes that it tries to select the whole page. sometimes pasting the just copied text pastes the text before the last copied one so it doesnt always copy the text at all.

6. are you sure there is no hardware problem?

similar issue... when this happens i usually just copy the adress bar and open it in Opera and all links are working fine, no need to zoom or long tap or whatever...

Despite the overall tone here, I'm going to agree with the OP on several points.

I've definitely had occasions where the iPhone for some reason stops accepting touch input for several seconds when there's an incoming call. It's happened intermittently on various models and versions of iOS over the years. It is frustrating.

iOS *HAS* become more "spammy" in all of its notifications and requests. When you first set up the phone, whenever you have to do a settings reset (which can become frustratingly often due to other bugs), and even sometimes after point updates, you are hit with a stream of things asking for permission to use location, camera, microphone, etc. And then later reminding you that the app has used it in the background and is this ok. People **** all over vista in its day for this sort of barrage of dialogue box security. Instead it's become the norm.

And beyond all that, I'll sometimes get iCloud sign in boxes for no apparent reason (I had already been signed in), and further EACH app will require it separately... Messages, notes, calendar, etc.

So no, it's not purely user error, some of it is bugs and bad design.

This thread is almost certainly not serious.

The iPhone isn't easy to use??? What? It's the easiest smartphone to use in this entire world.

I'm going to assume this is your only smartphone and first this you're having these issues. The issues you are describing sounds to me like you do not have this phone setup correctly

I have this issue on my 6s as well and I've come to the same conclusion. Solution is to take care to tap as lightly as possible.

In other words, "You're tapping it wrong.".

Re-read the OP's initial post. Its clear they have just for the first time gone from a dumbphone to a smartphone. Most iPhone owners have gradually gotten to this point. Like it or not, both Android and iOS, along with their respective ecosystems, are fairly complex. They are very easy to use, but that is assuming you are familiar with smartphones. If you are completely unfamiliar with anything but using your phone to make phone calls and possibly send text messages, it could be overwhelming. I think that is really the heart of the matter here.

That's what I gathered from this post
