I recently installed Infuse Pro 5 on my Apple TV and I noticed that when watching video the only way I can fast forward or reverse is to press the touch pad on the remote to pause video first and then use swipe gesture on touch pad to shift playback position.

However, I found it's nearly impossible to use the touch pad remote to fast forward or reverse by like 10 seconds or 30 seconds. I would often end up fast forwarding few minutes ahead when I only want to jump forward by 30 seconds or just a few seconds.

Most DVRs I have used can do 30 second fast forward and 10 second reversal.

Does anyone know if Infuse for Apple TV has any undocumented way of fast forwarding video by a pre-defined number of seconds?

Thank you.

When I use Infuse 5, clicking the left or right side of the touchpad rewinds or advances incrementally -- if I press and hold the left or right side, it fast-forwards or rewinds.

To elaborate a bit on benjitek's response, Infuse will default to 10s forward/back when hovering and tapping on the edges of the touch pad.

Alternatively, you can enable the 'Chapter Controls' option in Settings, and the edge taps can be used to skip forward/back between chapters.

Hi!

I was wondering why when FF/R the image is static and does not change when doing FF/R.
Is this the expected behavior? I expected the image to update frame by frame at the FF/R rate, during the FF/R operation, just like on other devices.

Is there a way to see the image updates during FF/R operations?

Thanks in advance!

Mary

This is something we're looking into for a future update. Stay tuned. ;)
