Initial Benchmarks

Barefeats posted some preliminary benchmarks on the Dual 800's as compared to older machines.

The Dual 533's hold their own against the Single 867... but the Dual 800's clearly take the lead in multiprocessor aware apps... .besting the Single 867 by as much as 87% in one bench (AltiVec Fractal)

Real Benchmarks

So when is someone going to do REAL benchmarks?
Photoshop 6 20 actions? What 20 actions?
Filemaker Pro 5 12 actions? What 12 actions?

I bet you i could come up with 20 actions that could almost close the gap.

And who cares about raytracing and fractals? Using that as a benchmark is about as useless as telling me the FPS in quake.

How about real world benchmarking?
