Input lag on iBooks?

I was just using a fairly new 12" iBook and I kind've felt like there may have been some input lag when doing certain tasks (i.e. typing papers in Word, for example), or when using the trackpad. Is this true or not?

Word sucks. It's a great program, but the lag just sucks. I only use it when I have to, or feel like dealing with it. On my Powermac, it's not a fulltime lag, just about once a paragraph, but still annoying.
