This thing refuses to die. Too bad I'm selling it, it really is the perfect size/weight.

I second this, I'm experiencing the same "insane" battery life, and stats displayed are accurate, after two hours of continuous usage, it only goes down to 88%. Here's a screenshot at 16%

The gauge is inaccurate it becomes more accurate the more you charge and discharge the battery..but out the gate they are generally an inaccurate mess.

I'm on the opposite end of the scale... my battery doesn't seem to last very long at all.

Charged overnight and already down to 92%.
Usage: 32 minutes
Standby: 2 Hours, 40 Minutes.

Only had the iPad a few days, maybe it'll take a period of time to break in.

What is your screen brightness set to? Using it at full I noticed a huge decrease on my iPad 3, but on the mini I rarely turn up past half.

Also people should note that the meter resets only after a full charge, so if you plug it in at some point during the day and don't charge to 100% it won't reset the meter...

I can't see anything demeaning in there. I spent five hours yesterday sat on the couch playing Angry Birds Star Wars. Fun? yes. Complete waste of time? Totally :)

Best Angry Birds game yet!

I just got my mini yesterday and have noticed its handling the battery situation very well. I used it for over 8 hours yesterday and got just below 50%. Today, I've been using it for an hour and its still at 97% (though I do realize the first few percent takes a whole lot longer to drop than the last few).

Mine is at 13 hours usage
8 Days 8 hours standby

w/ 37% battery life left.

Had a bday party over the weekend, so haven't used my gadgets much :D

mother of god at these 1 day battery lifes. So ready to buy one now. Can I ask, what are your settings/usage my '1 day' members

LOTS of web browsing (more than 80% of what I used mine for and I got 3 days of standby with 1 day and 3 hours of usage and still had 10% left), everything on (wifi, location services, imessage, facetime, etc.), app downloads, some gaming, reading, some music (very little, <1 hour), a little bit of skype.

The iPad Mini really does get insane battery life. Goes above and beyond Apple's claimed 10 hours of usage... way beyond.

Turned down to 50% brightness now, probably gaming amounts to 3 hours today with 100% brightness. Gonna run this charge down and see what happens during the next cycle.

I read about this before. Battery life this good is really insane. This is one advantage an iPad has over a Mac.

Let's see, my writing software is available for both the iPad and Mac, but the iPad is a device that gets over twice the battery life and you can carry everywhere.

Even the 10 hours from before was really great. 10-13 hours is just exceptionally good.

I'm betting 3 hours of gaming would use up 50% of the battery.

32 minutes use down to 92% doesn't say much.

The iPad mini has extraordinaire battery life. For the week that I had it I would play games, music, and surf the web for hours on end and it felt like the battery never drained at all.
