I get this message everytime i restart my computer.

"Insecure Startup Items folder detected. Items in the Startup Items folder ("/Library/StartupItems/") have not been started because the folder does not have the proper security settings."

Does anyone know what i can do to get it to work, or for it to be able to write?

things to consider: I am on my macbook pro (10.6.8), but the os that i am running is from a previous imac, which i backed up and restored onto this macbook pro. I cannot install Pro Tools and other startup items in the same folder and i think it's because of this error. I have used disk utility to repair & verify permissions. I have reset the PRAM. I also went to the startupitems folder and went to "get info" and applied "read & write" to pretty much all users and "applied to enclosed items"

can anyone enlighten me?
