Inserting signature into Preview document

Make sure you have your signature already scanned and saved as a jpg.

Open the pdf document in Preview, then save it as a jpg.

Open your signature in Preview, use the select tool to place a box around your signature, then copy.

Go back to your document in jpg format and hit paste. Your signature will appear and you can move it where you want with the little hand.

Save your document as a pdf. Now you have a pdf document with your signature and no need to print, sign and rescan.

If you bothered to read the original post in this almost 2 year old thread, you'd see the topic being discussed is inserting a digital signature, not a handwritten signature, which cannot be done with Preview.
