Has anyone else noticed that search doesn't seem to bring up apps anymore? I used to use search to launch apps instead of flipping through screen after screen. Suggested apps is great for the ones I use predictably, but when I search for "Pages" the first hit used to be the app. Now it's a list of emails, followed by an obscure web site reference, followed by the Wikipedia article on the app. There's also an App Store suggestion, but not for the Apple App, but rather the "Yellow Pages Canada" app. So now I either have to flip through my phone's screens and folders looking for where I put that app, or launch it via Siri.

UPDATE: Nevermind. Looks like it just needed to index or something. Apps now show up as expected.

Any reason why Proactive Siri or Siri suggestions are not working on the iPad 3? Swiping left to right bounces back and the swipe down just shows a blank screen with search bar?

All I want to know is if all that "proactive" crap can be turned OFF.
Most, if not all of it can be turned off, but the settings are all over the place so you'll have to look for them.

I also turn it all off since it's all so US-centric. Apple has a long way to go if it ever wants to catch up with Google outside the US.

Siri seems to be choosing only news from CNN, NYTimes, USAToday, and WashPost. I don't want news from ANY of these... how can I train Siri to find other sources?

iPad 3 doesn't get these features because it " doesn't have the processing power."
