Insomnia App on Cydia?

I use textplus and get regular notifications but when I use the Internet at school, I don't get any push notifications and have to open the app each time to and refresh to check. I'm guessing the Wi-Fi is turning off and that's the problem. If I'm wrong, can someone tell me what's wrong?

Will Insomnia help me in this situation? And if I leave it on for, suppose, 6 hours, how much extra battery will it consume approximately?

ive never left it on for that long - but it worked great for me on 4.2.1
not tried it on 4.3.1

it will drain u're battery significantly as apps will keep running and wifi will stay connected.. better pack u're charger
